As AI algorithms run on the user's site, false alarms and missed detections are inevitable. This document introduces our company's continuous optimization plan for the algorithms.
Overall Explanation of Algorithm Optimization
Based on the false alarm and missed detection data provided by users for our standard algorithms, we will continuously iterate and optimize the algorithms. The updated algorithm packages will be regularly uploaded to the cloud storage, named by date. Our customers can log in to the cloud storage continuously, freely access the latest version of the algorithm package, and import it into the device for use.
When Will Algorithm Optimization Begin?
Based on the false alarm and missed detection data feedback from different users, we will start a new round of algorithm optimization promptly based on the amount of collected data. A new round of algorithm optimization will begin when the collected data reaches 500Mb. At the bottom of this article, we have developed a small widget that can daily tally the size of each algorithm's data on our data collection server, making it easy for our users to clearly understand our algorithm optimization plan. 1. Download the Original Alarm Images:
- Please filter by [Type] in the device's [History];

- Browse the alarm snapshots, locate the false alarm, and mark them;

- Filter and export the false alarms;

- Categorize and organize the exported false alarms by [Detection Type] for unified feedback.
2. Feedback False Alarm Information:
- Please send the compressed package of organized false alarm images to our designated email address;

- Email Content must include the following information:
- Company Name / Project Name (for our archiving and follow-up)
- Type of False Alarm (e.g., Unworn Safety Helmet Detection)
- Device Model and Version (How to obtain: [System Settings] -> [Device Upgrade] -> [Current Version])
- Remarks (whether it has caused significant interference or business impact on-site)
- Email Subject should be named as [Company_Name_Algorithm_Type_False_Alarm_Feedback_Date] to help us quickly locate and process it.
3. Our Company's Record and Handling:
- Our after-sales team will register the issue immediately and coordinate with the algorithm team for processing;
- All false alarm data will be used for model optimization, continuously improving the recognition accuracy of the algorithm in real-world scenarios.

Q1: Does a high number of false alarms on-site indicate an unstable or poorly performing model? A: Not necessarily. The recognition performance of edge AI models is significantly influenced by the actual on-site environment, such as lighting conditions, obstructions, camera angles, and personnel attire. A certain proportion of false alarms is normal. Your every feedback will help us continuously optimize the model to enhance its robustness and accuracy in specific scenarios.
Q2: Do customers need to manually collect data? A: Customers only need to download the original false alarm images from the device and sort them by detection type before sending.
Q3: Will the model upgrade affect the normal operation of the device? A: No. The model optimization and upgrade process does not affect the daily operation of the device. We support remotely issuing new algorithm packages, and the entire process does not require shutdowns or disconnections. The upgrade takes effect immediately.
Q4: How often will the model be optimized and updated? How can I know if the model has been upgraded? A: Based on the frequency of customer feedback, the impact of false alarms, and the algorithm optimization cycle, we typically conduct a model optimization assessment monthly or bimonthly and decide whether to release a new model version based on the optimization results. Once the model upgrade is complete, we will notify customers through the following methods: - After-sales personnel notification (phone / WeChat / email); - Check if the algorithm package has been updated on our BBS forum: AIDrive Community. Q5: Is there a risk of data leakage for the false alarm data provided by customers? A: No. We strictly adhere to data confidentiality agreements. All images and information provided by customers are used solely for model analysis and optimization and will not be used for any commercial purposes or shared with third parties.
